ISO 9001:2000 5th Surveillance Audit by LRQA

TKCM has been assessed by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance on our ISO 9001:2000 standard implementation, for the 5th times, on 30 April 2008.
Number of findings was 2 (two) required corrections. There was no significant or critical findings.
Next assessment is a certificate renewal assessment, which will be conducted on 28 and 29 October 2008.
Emergency Response Simulation on Chlorine Gas Leakage

To check and secure our preparedness in case of a chlorine gas leakage accident, including how to handle the leakage and giving first aid to any victims, TKCM has conducted an emergency response simulation on 23 April 2008 at the plant.
Operation of the New Intake Building

New intake building has been being operated since 18 December 2007.
The facility is completed with 2 (two) raw water channel @ 1,650 Lps, 2 (two) units of automatic fine screen, 5 (five) intake pumps - 4 units @ 600 Lps and 1 units @ 500 Lps, 5 tones overhead crane and new installed 1,000 mm raw water pipe.
To serve its electricity needs, TKCM has installed additional 1,100 kVA electricity power from PLN (state owned electricity company), including constructed new building for generator, panel and transformator.
Visit to Malaysia

TKCM has sent 2 (two) key persons, Yudy Nurpriyantono (plant manager) and Nur Hasyim Asy'ari (assistant manager for maintenance) to visit 2 (two) water treatment plants operated by private company in Malaysia.
The plants are Padang Saga WTP in Langkawi, operated by Taliworks (Langkawi) Sdn Bhd and Sungai Selangor WTP in Selangor, operated by Sungai Harmoni Sdn Bhd. These 2 (two) operator companies are subsidiary from Taliworks Corporation Berhad.

TKCM invited Professor Jean-Philippe Croue, from Department of Water Chemistry in the Ecole Superieure d'Ingenieurs de Poitiers in France, to give his presentation on biofilms, removal of organic matters and chlorination.
The presentation has been conducted on Thursday 08th June 2006 at PDAM TKR Kabupaten Tangerang's head office.
Perpamsi Komda Banten is hosting this event in conjunction with PDAM TKR and TKCM.
More than 70 partcipants, from PDAM's in Banten, West Java, Jakarta, South Sumatera and Lampung, attended the presentation.

We have just secured Professor Jean-Philippe Croue to give a presentation on biofilms, removal of organic matters and chlorination on Thursday 08th June 2006.
Professor Jean-Philippe Croue is visiting PDAM Kabupaten Tangerang Cikokol Water Treatment Plant operated by PT Tirta Kencana Cahaya Mandiri during the second week of June 2006.
He is Professor of Environmental Engineering within the Department of Water Chemistry in the Ecole Superieure d'Ingenieurs de Poitiers in France in association with CNRS ( National Center for Research and Studies).
Professor Jean-Philippe Croue Laboratory's studies are regularly published by the American Chemical Society and the European Commission Water Science and Technology Journal and can be found on the Poitiers University website.
In July 2004 and April 2005 he gave two popular talks on the isolation and characterization of natural organic matter(NOM), removal of NOM by chemical coagulation and anion exchange, evaluation of disinfection chlorination and ozonation by-products(DBPs) and formation of biofilms on membranes at the Water Corporation of Western Australia, in liaison with Curtin University in Perth.
We are very happy to welcome Professeur Croue in Kabubaten Tangerang to give a presentation on:
Origin and characterization of the DOC in natural waters
DOC removal and reactivity along drinking water treatment trains
Conditions for water stability in distribution systems
Biofilms in water distribution networks

2 (two) of TKCM's staff have joined a full week training on Information Technology conducted by Concept Networks in Perth, Australia.
It was a tailor made training which focused on the installed web based data management system in TKCM. The system is developed by Co

ISO 9001:2000 Certification

TKCM has implemented the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard since 1 July 2005, with a scope of Water Treatment Plant's Operation and Ma

After conducting 2 (two) stages of audits, dated 12-13 October 2005 and 25-26 October 2005, Lloyds Register Quality Assurance declar
ed that the TKCM obtained the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate.
Sludge Scrappers' Material Inspection

TKCM has ordered 3 (three) sets of sludge scrappers from Huber (Germany) which will be installed in the sedimentation tanks.
To check the materials before shipment to Indonesia, TKCM has sent 3 (three) staffs to the Huber's factory at Berching, Germany.
Training on Fire Extinguishing

TKCM has invited an instructor from fire department to teach and train the employees about how to handle a fire accident.
All employees within the plant, had to joined the training.
For refreshment, the fire extinguishing training will be conducted once per year.
OZWATER 2005

PDAM and TKCM joined a group of 64 public and private sector executives from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, brought to Brisbane by Austrade to attend Ozwater 2005, Australia’s premier bi-annual water exhibition held this year at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Center from 8 to 10 May.
During their visit, the representatives of PDAM TKR and TKCM were able to identify water related equipment, services and technologies which did match their interests.
The delegation also attended technical presentations from (18) water industry companies as organized with the Queensland Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the South Australian Water Industry Alliance.

The co-operation agreement came into force on 24th November 2004 when PDAM president director Mr H. Utar Sutarya officially handed over the Cikokol Water Treatment Plant to TKCM, was witnessed by Bupati Tangerang.
